Snake River Canoe Race

CLASSES
Classes are the same as in past years. There will be a one person Kayak Class (Class Z), Solo Class (Class Y), a Pro-Boat Class (Class PB), an Open Racing Class (Class OR) with sub-classes for men, women and mixed teams, and a Citizens Class with two divisions - aluminum and non-aluminum - which will be further broken down into 24 sub-classes (Class A through Class X) according to ages and genders of team members. Canoe dimensional limitations for each class are shown below.

Pro-Boat Racing Class (Class PB)

No age classes.
1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques.
Limitations: maximum length 18 1/2’, minimum width 27” at 3” waterline.

Open Racing Class (Class OR)

No age classes.
Plaques to overall first, second, and third place finishers; medals to first, second, and third place in class ORA (male), ORB (female), and ORC (mixed).
Limitations: No restrictions except two-person teams.

Solo Class (Class Y)

Medals to first, second, and third place finishers.
Limitations: Each canoe may contain only one person and the paddle may have only one blade.
No age classes.

Kayak Class (Class Z)

Medals to first, second, and third place finishers.
Limitations: Each kayak may contain only one person.

Citizens Classes - Aluminum Division

Medals to first, second, and third place finishers in Classes A thru L.
Limitations: Maximum length 17’, minimum width of 31” at 3” waterline.
